Senior Project Manager/Engineer

Main tasks and responsibilities

·         Manage individual tasks throughout the design, preparation and construction process of new data center facilities and extension or transformation of existing facilities.

·         Work closely with Operations to coordinate ongoing construction activities on campus and enforce safety on site

·         Enforce project quality, change and risk controls throughout the process to final hand-over

·         Manage the project planning, various work packages and suppliers, driving projects to successful completion

·         Hold around budget, actual expenditures and cash need forecasts

·         Regularly report to management

·         Drive internal and external project requirements with all stakeholders in the project

Educational and qualification requirements

·         Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, comparable studies or experience

·         5+ years work experience of which 2+ years as a Project Manager/Engineer, assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity, is required. Data Center or other mission critical facilities experience is an advantage

·         Proficient with Project Management and Architectual/engineering drawing, experience with BIM systems such as Revit is an advantage

·         Good knowledge of English and Icelandic in speech and writing.

·         A pro-active “can do” mentality, thriving in complex, dynamic situations

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Driver’s license
