Quality Assurance Engineer
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Product Development division in delivering mission-critical Air Traffic Control systems.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer you help ensure that all principles and practices of software quality assurance are applied throughout the development life cycle, build up a deep understanding of our products, communicate with both developers and other stakeholders , and be a vital part in ensuring that our products are compliant with the highest quality standards.
As an ideal candidate, you have a genuine interest in Quality Assurance, ideally have experience in a technical field such as software development or software quality assurance, and you are also exceptionally organised and methodical. In short, you have the experience necessary to take our products to the next level in terms of accuracy, reliability, security and safety.
Quality Assurance Technology Stack

Be part of a feature team and provide quality assurance for that feature

Analyse and review requirements and user manuals

Report and reproduce bugs, validate bug fixes and conduct regression testings and iteration testing

Participate in Failure Mode Effect Analysis

Analyse system and software architecture and designs to support white box testing

Design and develop system test cases and system test procedures

Set up test environments in Linux based environments

Contribute to test automation in component and integration testing

Contribute to ensuring that the Product Development division meets QA policy and objectives

Identify and communicate risks related to the product

University degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a related field or a background in the air traffic control domain

At least 3 years of relevant professional experience

Experience with our Quality Assurance Technology Stack: Rocky Linux, Python, Virtual environments (VMWare, VirtualBox, Docker), Git and GitLab

Strong communication skills combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Ability to implement effective test procedures

ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level (within one year of employment at Tern)

Knowledge of software development, quality assurance terminology, methods and tools

Ability to work with various software development tools, Linux OS and Object Oriented programming languages

A background in the air traffic control domain or a regulated industry is preferred
