About the position

As a project manager at NunaGreen, you will have the chance to work on Greenland's most groundbreaking projects in green energy. Your tasks range widely and include project management, coordination and strategic planning. You will be responsible for leading large, complex construction projects that form the basis for the green infrastructure of the future in Greenland – including the construction of a hydropower plant in Disko Bay to supply Qasigiannguit and Aasiaat.

You will report directly to our Head of Construction and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, navigate government processes and contribute to the green transition. The position is ready to be filled now.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities include:

Project management: Ensure effective planning, coordination, and implementation of the projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for developing schedules, budgets, and resource plans and following up on their compliance.

Risk management: Identifying and managing potential risks, developing preventive strategies, and ensuring that challenges are effectively addressed throughout the project.

Contract negotiations: Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure optimal agreements that support project goals and meeting deadlines.

Regulatory Processing: Navigating through relevant legislative and approval processes to ensure that projects comply with national and local regulations.

Quality management: Implement and monitor quality systems that ensure that all deliveries meet both technical and environmental standards.

Health and Safety: Promote a safe and sustainable work culture by implementing and monitoring occupational health and safety procedures and environmental measures.

Interdisciplinary collaboration: Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.

Reporting: You will continuously prepare reports, presentations, etc. on the project status to the Head of Construction.

Educational and skill requirements

Your profile and background

We imagine that you:

-  Has a solid experience in project management in the construction industry, preferably in energy and infrastructure.

-  Have a technical background, e.g. as an engineer, constructor, high current/electricity or similar craft area, combined with project management experience.

-  Possess strong communication skills and thrive on collaborating and creating results together.

-  Competencies in risk management, quality work and contract negotiation.

-  Has a keen eye for detail, but at the same time can keep the big picture.

-  Sharing our passion for green energy and sustainability and wanting to make a difference.

 

The position requires that you are both strategic and operational in your approach. You will work closely with a team of dedicated specialists who are working to make Greenland a leading player in green energy.

 

The working language on a daily basis will typically be Danish, but since contract documents are expected to be in English, there is a natural need for you to be fluent in spoken and written English.
