Production Engineer

Controlant is looking for an eager and talented Production Engineer to join our growing Production Engineer team.

The Production Engineer is responsible for implementation and enhancement of production processes and procedures, and leading productivity improvements with project-based activities. This includes new product introduction and manufacturing cell design to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs. Big focus for this person is to manage and monitor devices in production line, troubleshooting HW, investigate root causes and analyze trends and failures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for effective in line engineering/ technical support to the Production team
  • Responsible for generation and delivery of concept ideas and manufacturing design improvements in cooperation with R&D
  • Actively works with and encourages Production Technicians on ideas of improvements
  • Liaison with third parties and vendors as required
  • Lead design and engineering support activities within Production, as well as developing documentation to support the Production team
  • Lead pilot build and participate in production validation
  • Drive process/ equipment/ infrastructure improvements
  • Assist with (non-conforming materials) process management & trending & fault investigation
  • Carry out device calibration and maintenance activities
  • Analyze and inspect the production line with the goal to suggest and implement changes
  • Setup new tools with higher output
  • Assist/ build new production line
  • Assist with or lead when required customer audits take place
  • Find an efficient way of carrying out quality checks
  • 1st level support for Production tools, computers liaison with R&D and AM-squad
  • Software developer for production tools and equipment maintainer analysis
  • Communication regarding technical issue

Additional responsibilities special for this role:

Device handling:

  • Responsible for receiving and sorting error devices
  • Register error devices and follow procedures to get loggers back to production line or scrap them
  • Responsible for returning devices to supplier in cooperation with Procurement
  • Updates documentation regarding error

Hardware investigation:

  • Troubleshooting of HW
  • Updated WIN for error devices
  • Create a list of issues
  • Create deviation report and address problem to supplier or R&D
  • Performs HW tests
  • Statistics about error, scrap, deviations

Requirements

  • University degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience within Monitoring or Technical Support, Electronic Design, Repair or Troubleshoot
  • Basic skills in Python and hardware programming
  • Data visualization / dashboarding through web applications or Power BI
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Understanding and experience with various automation technologies
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously
  • Good project management knowledge and skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
