Front-End Developer (Framendaforritari)

We seek a skilled and creative Front-End Developer with expertise in Angular IO, AngularJS, and/or React and strong proficiency in CSS and Figma. You will develop intuitive and visually engaging user interfaces, collaborating with designers and back-end developers to deliver seamless and responsive web applications. You would work with 40 software development experts, divided into smaller agile teams in Iceland and across Europe.

Develop and maintain front-end applications using Angular IO, AngularJS, or React
Create responsive interfaces leveraging modern CSS techniques
Collaborate with designers to transform Figma designs into pixel-perfect, user-friendly web pages
Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and exceptional user experience
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design principles
Debug and resolve front-end issues while collaborating with QA teams to uphold high-quality standards
Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

BSc/MSc in Computer Science or Engineering
Hands-on experience with frameworks like Angular IO, AngularJS, or React
Strong knowledge of CSS3, pre-processors (like SASS or LESS), and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively
Initiative and independent working methods

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of back-end technologies such as Node.js and REST APIs
Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Playwright
Proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Knowledge of internet security principles and practices, such as the OWASP guidelines
Understanding of Agile development practices
Ability to interpret Figma designs and convert them into fully responsive, functional web pages
