Senior Web Developer / Frontend Developer (part-time)

Flík is an Icelandic startup focusing on developing software products for creative knitters. Our goal is to empower knitters to customize and design their own knitwear. Our first product (Flík - knitting calculator), a simple iOS app to perform basic knitting calculations was launched to the Apple Store for iPhone in January of this year.

We are now ready to embark on the next step in our journey and bring the product to the web and enhance our features for both the iOS app and the web application. We are, therefore, looking for a talented Web Developer to help us reach our goals on either a part-time or contract basis.

Develop and maintain responsive web applications, preferably using React.
Collaborate to create seamless user experiences.
Troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
Write clean, scalable code while adhering to best practices.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

At least 3 years of experience in web development.
Excellent skills in foundational front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience using React or other frameworks.
Experience working with APIs.
Experience working with Git version control.
An eye for design and an interest in user experience (UX).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Have initiative and manage your time effectively.
Good communication skills.
Working English proficiency.
Interest in working in the knitting industry.
Willingness to work part-time or as a contractor.

Nice to have

Experience in UI and UX design.
Experience with knitting or a desire to learn.
Proficiency in other human languages is a plus.
