Verksvið og ábyrgð:

• Innleiðing á alþjóðlegum Umhverfis- heilsu- og öryggisstöðlum.
• Styðja við vinnu sem snýr að því að efla umhverfis-, heilsu- og öryggismenningu.
• Innleiða fyrirbyggjandi lausnir til þess að draga úr eða eyða áhættu með því að greina rót orsaka og gera umbætur á ferlum.
• Leiða og styðja við þróun áhættumats.
• Ráðleggja um bestu starfshætti í umhverfis-, heilsu- og öryggismálum.
• Greina gögn sem snúa að umhverfis-, heilsu- og öryggismálum.
• Veita leiðsögn og stuðning við stjórnun breytinga tengd umhverfis-, heilsu- og öryggismálum innan fyrirtækisins.
• Takast á við áskoranir í samvinnu við viðeigandi teymi þvert á fyrirtækið.
• Leiða og taka þátt í umhverfis-, heilsu- og öryggismála herferðum.

Hæfni og færni:

• Menntun á háskólastigi sem nýtist í starfi.
• Reynsla af umhverfis-, heilsu- og öryggismálum er æskileg.
• Þekking á íslensku regluverki í umhverfis-, heilsu- og öryggismálum er æskileg.
• Góð hæfni til tjáningar í töluðu máli og rituðu, á íslensku og ensku.

Alvotech in Reykjavík is seeking a dedicated specialist in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS).

We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong passion for EHS who wants to actively contribute to shaping and strengthening a safety and environmental culture within a global biopharmaceutical company. This role offers diverse responsibilities and the opportunity to make a real impact on the workplace and employee wellbeing.

Responsibilities and Scope:

• Implement international environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
• Support efforts to strengthen the company’s EHS culture.
• Introduce preventive solutions to reduce or eliminate risks by identifying root causes and improving processes.
• Lead and support the development of risk assessments.
• Advise on best practices in EHS.
• Analyze data related to environmental, health, and safety performance.
• Provide guidance and support for managing changes related to EHS within the company.
• Collaborate with relevant cross-functional teams to address challenges.
• Lead and participate in EHS campaigns and awareness initiatives.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• University-level education in relevant field.
• Proven experience in implementing international EHS standards is required.
• Knowledge of Icelandic regulatory frameworks in EHS is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Icelandic and English.
