Project Manager

Borealis Data Center is seeking an experienced and hands-on Project Manager to lead the delivery of data center construction projects.

Reporting to the Director of Construction & Engineering, the Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating projects from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and handover. The role ensures that scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholders are managed effectively and that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to Borealis’ quality and operational standards.

This position requires a structured and proactive project leader who can keep complex construction activities moving, resolve obstacles, and create alignment between internal teams, contractors, engineers, suppliers, and other project partners. The successful candidate will combine strong construction knowledge with hands-on execution, commercial awareness, and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall delivery of data center construction projects from initial planning through construction, coordinating closely with the Commissioning and Handover Manager through final completion

• Define project scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, governance, deliverables, and success criteria

• Coordinate design, procurement, construction, and installation activities, ensuring alignment with commissioning and handover requirements

• Monitor project progress, costs, risks, resources, dependencies, and changes, taking corrective action when required

• Work hands-on to resolve technical, commercial, and site-related challenges and keep projects moving

• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, consultants, engineers, suppliers, and certification partners

• Provide clear reporting on project status, milestones, costs, risks, decisions, and required escalations

• Ensure projects meet Borealis’ safety, quality, technical, documentation, compliance, and certification requirements

• Support project completion and handover in close coordination with the Commissioning and Handover Manager and Operations

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field

• At least five years of relevant experience delivering complex construction or infrastructure projects

• Strong experience in project planning, budgeting, cost control, risk management, procurement, and change management

• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders

• Experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or comparable infrastructure is a strong advantage

• Familiarity with relevant project or construction management tools; professional certification is an advantage

• Strong communication and reporting skills in English

• Hands-on, organized, and results-driven, with strong ownership and practical problem-solving skills

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally according to project requirements

• Sound judgment and decision-making under pressure

• Ability to operate successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced, and international environment
