We’re looking for a curious and empathetic Customer Researcher

…to help us understand what makes daters tick and swipe. Your mission is to uncover deep, actionable insights about our users’ needs, behaviors, motivations, and frustrations, so we can build better experiences, market smarter, and become the go-to dating app in our core markets.

You’ll lead customer research from within the marketing team, working closely with the VP of Marketing, but also collaborating with product and data. Your work will shape how we position ourselves, explore new market opportunities, and communicate with users across different countries and channels.

Whether you’re digging into how dating culture shifts between markets, testing reactions to a new brand concept, or unpacking why some users feel seen and others don’t, you’ll plan and run research that helps us move faster and think deeper.

We’re looking for someone with real-world, hands-on experience who can turn findings into sharp and clear actionable recommendations.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and lead qualitative and quantitative research across current (Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway) and potential markets to explore user behaviors, needs, and frustrations
  • Conduct user interviews, in-field research, surveys, and usability tests, choosing the right method for the question at hand
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations that shape product development, marketing campaigns, and strategic decisions
  • Build and maintain a lean but effective user research system, including participant recruitment, templates, and reporting workflows
  • Stay plugged into dating culture, Gen Z behavior, competitor moves, and cultural shifts to keep our understanding fresh and relevant
  • Share user insights across the company to drive deeper empathy and smarter decision-making at all levels
  • Collaborate with agencies to implement research proposals

We might be a match if you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience in user or customer research, ideally in a customer-facing brand, consumer tech, or mobile apps (bonus if you’ve done research across global markets)
  • Have a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Marketing, Design, or a similar field that helps you understand people and behavior
  • Are confident running qualitative studies from start to finish, including planning, recruitment, synthesis, and stakeholder buy-in
  • Know how to dig below the surface, ask the right questions, and spot patterns in messy data
  • Can turn insights into decisions (not just decks), and know how to advocate for them across teams
  • Are passionate about dating culture, Gen Z behavior, and building things that feel human, fun, and useful
  • Know how to adapt your research approach to startup speed without sacrificing depth
  • Have a strong grasp of mixed-methods research or data collaboration when it adds value (bonus if you’re comfortable with basic survey analysis or quant tools)
  • Are fluent in English
