Investor Relations

Marel is looking for a highly motivated candidate to join the Investor Relations team.
Investor Relations is responsible for ensuring the company is appropriately and strategically positioned with analysts, investors, and other stakeholders. Investor Relations is a combination of finance, communication, and marketing, focused on the company’s financial community, rather than its business customers or the general public.

The objective of the IR department within a company is to help investors make informed decisions in their actions regarding the company’s equity. The IR department does this by providing up-to-date information about the company’s operations, financial statements to current and potential shareholders, as well as third-party equity research analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop investor confidence and belief in the company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value
  • Collaborate and make recommendations in executing the investor relations program, strategy and framework
  • Support the Director of Investor Relations and senior management to manage the long-term relationships with analysts, investors, and keep shareholders knowledgeable about the company
  • In coordination with the Director of Investor Relations, develop and write reports and other investor material to be presented at quarterly results and shareholder meetings, and prepare the company’s Annual Report
  • Create and update investor presentations, press releases and ‘Investor Relations (IR)’ section on the company website at a regular interval.
  • Analyze and present market insights, including peer group analysis, financial trends, shareholder concerns, competitor actions, and anything that might impact the business
  • Track and analyze sell side financial models and competitor financial performance

Qualifications

  • Has superb written and verbal English communication skills, as well as the ability to draft engaging and impactful messages for inspiring employees and investors
  • Very familiar with valuation and financial modeling techniques used by investors and analysts
  • Deep understanding performance metrics for public companies, trends in capital markets, macroeconomics, competitors and customer trends
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
  • Great interpersonal and leadership abilities, project management skills is an asset
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (Reuters, Bloomberg, Access, SQL, Business Objects) is an asset

Education and experience

  • A degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or equivalent
  • Preferably over 2 years of experience in equity research, financial modeling or corporate advisory
  • Experience in an international work environment is a benefit
