Finance Internship

Build upon your classroom studies through our Hotel Internship Program opportunities. You will learn first-hand about a hotel's operations. Our Hotel Internship Program allows you to truly experience the industry from the ground up, where our founders and many of our leaders began. You will get immersed in Marriott's culture and business and find your true calling in the travel industry. Our internships are typically available in many different areas of the hotel. You will be registered for ACCA, to become accounts certified.

• Start in one of our vacant positions:
• Accounts Payable 12 months.
• Income Audit 12 months.
• Cost Control 12 months
  • Attain an understanding of procurement.
• Accounts Receivable 8 months
• Financial Manager 16 months training
  • Simultaneously completing the Marriott FM training.
  • Complete leadership training.
  • Complete how to conduct an interview training.
  • Complete time management training.
  • Icelandic taxes and VAT course.
• Hold the Financial Manager position until ready to move to Asst. DOF.
  • Continue to train and learn the local Icelandic union related rules and agreements.
  • Learn about local legislation pertaining to accounts, government grants etc.
• Asst. DOF, the join Marriott Asst. DOF training program.
  • Getting exposed to payroll.
  • Learn Kjarni payroll system.
