Pick&Pack Deputy Manager
Newrest in Iceland is looking for Pick&Pack Deputy Manager that will be responsible for assisting the Pick&Pack Manager with all operation within the department. Duties include assisting and instructing the Supervisors, if needed. Deputy Manager works closely with the team to ensure that work is according to standards and on time.
Pick & Pack Deputy Manager provides support
- to manage all Pick & Pack operations in regards with instructions from Pick & Pack Manager,
- to provide excellent standards with loading carts and trolleys with platters, dishes, utensils, and containers to maximize client enjoyment of products, in compliance with specified loading diagrams,
- to ensure compliance issues concerning Health, Safety, Welfare at Work, Quality, Food Safety and Management of the Environment, as integrated into the operational practices of the company
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Ensure that all employees, services and suppliers comply with Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Environment requirements.
- Carry out all duties and be responsible for the execution of all compliance requirements pertaining to your specific department.
- Resource planning in regards with the Operations and Budget line,
- Recruit, develop and retain staff as per business requirements.
- Work, report and adhere to set the quality standards.
- Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment and materials.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and external agencies to provide a seem less service.
- Promote, drive and implement continuous improvement of lean working principles and processes.
- Work to KPI's and ensuring reporting requirements are fulfilled and targets are achieved / exceeded.
- Responsible for the Bonded stock management
- Responsibility of monthly inventories
- Implementation and monitoring of barrier processes
- Cover duty Manager role as and when required.
- Any other missions assigned by Pick&Pack Manager
Competences:
- Good business acumen, including written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
- Proven experience and ability to manage people, processes, and technology and manage.
- Knowledge of HACCP
Experience:
- Bachelor in operations, Management, Business Management,
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or food industry
- Strong leadership skills, especially with holding others accountable and creating/maintaining an organized and engaged team
- Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadline
- Good understanding of operational flow
- Detail-orientated with the ability to see the big picture
