

Director Line Maintenance
Air Atlanta Icelandic is seeking a dynamic and operationally focused leader to head its Line Maintenance team.
The company operates line maintenance stations in Saudi Arabia, Belgium and the United Kingdom. Director of Line Maintenance plays a key role in ensuring operational reliability, technical compliance and performance across all stations. The role also carries clear responsibility for financial oversight of line maintenance activities, ensuring that operational objectives are delivered within approved budgets through effective cost control and resource management. The role requires strong operational insight, cross-functional coordination and the ability to manage multiple technical projects in a dynamic international environment. Regular international travel is expected.
The Director of Line Maintenance reports directly to the Vice President Maintenance.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
- Overall operational responsibility for the airline’s line maintenance stations
- Leadership, development and performance management of line maintenance teams
- Strategic manpower planning and resource optimization
- Administrate operational costs and budget adherence
- Oversight of technical competency, training programs and continuous development of line maintenance personnel
- Ensuring procedures are operationally effective, compliant with regulatory requirements and continuously improved
- Communication and technical oversight of third-party line maintenance providers
- Management and root cause analysis of non-conformities, reliability issues and operational disruptions
- Leading improvement initiatives related to safety, reliability, operational efficiency and sustainable cost control across line maintenance operations
Qualifications
- EASA Part-66 license or a degree in Engineering with a strong technical and operational background
- Minimum 3 years of aviation maintenance experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership or operational management role is considered a strong advantage
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use operational data to drive improvements
- Excellent command of English and solid computer literacy
- High level of safety awareness, compliance mindset and operational discipline
- Experience in line maintenance management or operational engineering roles is considered a strong advantage
- Understanding of operational cost control, financial awareness, and ability to manage maintenance activities in alignment with budgetary objectives
