Senior Manager Product Management

As Senior Manager Product Management you play a key global role in shaping and driving the product portfolio, innovation priorities, and product lifecycle management for the business unit Secondary Fresh by managing and leading a team of Product Managers. You are the strategic owner of the product roadmap and act as the voice of the customer, translating market needs into clear development priorities and impactful go-to-market strategies.

You will work closely with innovation, sales, specialists, and key customers to ensure our portfolio continues to deliver value, competitiveness and sustainable growth.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate in a complex, international, technology-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

Product strategy & portfolio management

• Own and drive product lifecycle management (PLM) and portfolio strategy.

• Monitor product performance and proactively take corrective actions where needed.

Innovation & development

• Act as a key partner to innovation teams, providing product and market input.

• Establish and manage a clear identification roadmap for new product and solution opportunities.

• Support go-to-market strategies for new products as part of the Product Development Process (PDP).

Stakeholder & customer engagement

• Serve as the voice of the customer, consolidating input from sales, specialists, customers and supply chain.

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across JBT Marel.

• Maintain close partnerships with key customers, including participation in customer visits, trials, exhibitions and events.

Leadership

• Build and strengthen a global Product Management team across regions and value streams.

• Actively contribute to the innovation leadership team and change management initiatives.

Key Focus Areas

• Strengthening product management ownership of prioritization and PLM.

• Building a strong and scalable product management foundation.

• Support organizational change and drive stronger integration and collaboration across the organization.

• Driving clarity, structure and consistency in product decision-making globally.

Your profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Technology or a related field (MBA is a plus).

• Extensive experience in product management within complex, technology-driven industries.

• Proven track record in portfolio management, innovation leadership and roadmap ownership.

• Strong stakeholder management skills across global, matrix organizations.

• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-driven mindset.

• Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.

• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
