Front-end Developer

Icelandair is looking for passionate, driven front-end developer who loves what he does and strives to deliver high-quality code for a seamless user experience. We are looking for a creative, critical thinker who can work collaboratively and independently in cross-functional product teams.

What you will be doing:

Develop and maintain Icelandair’s customer-facing solutions, ensuring quality of code and validity of solutions by building reusable code and component libraries for future use. Innovate and push the boundaries of what’s possible in the front-end ecosystem.

Follow and evolve best practices in terms of all software development aspects.

Collaborate with our in-house designers to turn designs into beautiful functional user interfaces.

Contribute to the discussions and development of the future developments of customer-facing solutions.

What you should know and be capable of:

Have a strong knowledge of React and Typescript, as well as Next.js (14+). Be very capable of creating beautiful experiences using all that modern CSS has to offer.

You‘re familiar with RSC, Tanstack Query and Turborepo.

You have a degree in computer science, web development or comparable education.

As well as being familiar and/or experienced with agile methodologies and continuous delivery.
