The Reykjavik EDITION is looking for its next Storekeeper
We are looking for ambitious full-staff. Good English is essential; further language skills are an advantage. The minimum age of the applicant is 20 years.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Storekeeper / Goods receiving agent you will become part of a specialized purchasing team that provides a dedicated procurement service on behalf of our teams, guests, and suppliers. Working as part of a wider finance team you’ll be responsible for coordinating deliveries and managing requisition requests to our departmental teams to ensure that par stock levels are maintained within the general store and across the business, as well as ensure no disruption to the hotel’s workflow.
With a meticulous eye for detail, passion in ensuring that all goods and items are checked and accounted for as they enter the main store or distributed to our departmental teams across the business, you’ll also work closely with the purchasing team to adhere to operating stocks. As guardian of our general stores, you’ll be responsible for implementing a host of stock and rotation control measures and play a pivotal role in the monthly stock taking and management of our inventory.
The role:
Managing incoming storeroom orders (including checking of completeness, quality control), physically transferring items into our inhouse storerooms. Technically receiving / transferring orders within our procurement system. Reordering / restocking storeroom items. Fulfilling outlet Requisitions (both physically and within the system).

Educational and qualification requirements :
· Proven background in a similar role in a busy Purchasing depart
· Experience in a similar establishment, ideally in a large, multi-outlet 4 or 5 -star hotel environment
· Highly organized
· Strong supervisory skills, along with great attention to detail
· Honesty
· Regular working schedule 09:30 – 17:30; Monday – Friday.
· Occasional weekend work is required (though in return you will be given days off in lieu)
· Currently residing in Iceland (including valid social security number)
· Good computer skills (Excel)
