Credit Management Specialist

As member of the Fish Division Finance team, you will be responsible for credit management including the guardianship, administration and collection of all outstanding invoices from our customers. Furthermore, you will act as sparring partner towards Sales and Sales operations in terms of assessing creditworthiness of existing or prospective customers.

The role can be based out of Garðabær, Iceland or Støvring, Denmark.

As Credit Management Specialist in your daily tasks, you will:

• Plan, evaluate, implement and continuously improve all aspects of credit and collection functions and processes
• Advise of payment terms to be used for sales orders/spares/services
• Assess in detail incoming bank guarantees and Letter of Credits in favor of Marel
• Submit and administrate complex payment instruments like Letter of Credits and bank guarantees
• Submit and administrate collections
• Provide considered recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk
• Put together cash forecasts for incoming payments on a monthly base

In order to be successful in this position, we expect that you have a university degree in finance or other business-related fields in combination with relevant experience with credit management. Moreover, you bring with you:

• Experience from a similar financial role - preferably within an international manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ERP-systems such as SAP and DAX are seen as an advantage
• Strong experience with acting as business partner for senior management where you dare to challenge and ask the critical questions
• Have a structured mindset and a project management approach to your tasks
• As we are a global organization English communication skill both spoken and written is a requirement
