Software developer (Python/Vue)
Ankeri is a software company serving the international maritime industry. Our innovative SaaS products, used by some of the largest shipping companies in the world, leverage smart data usage to improve productivity, performance, and reduce carbon emissions.
We are looking for an experienced software developer to take ownership of one of Ankeri’s core modules and a key part of our product offering. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is highly motivated, product-driven, and comfortable working autonomously in a small team with short feedback loops.
The role involves close collaboration with customers, understanding their workflows and requirements, and translating that insight into practical product improvements. We are looking for someone who can take responsibility for a product area, make sound technical decisions, and help shape the future direction of an important part of the Ankeri platform.
- Take ownership of one of our key modules, including ongoing development, maintenance, and product improvements.
- Design, develop, and maintain SaaS applications using Python, Vue, and other relevant technologies.
- Work closely with customers to understand feedback, requirements, and operational needs.
- Translate customer insight into effective, maintainable product solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve technical and product challenges.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and continuously improve the development process.
- A few years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience in Python and web development, such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django, and/or front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Vue.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of a product area, and deliver results.
- Strong customer orientation and interest in understanding real-world user workflows.
- Experience applying modern design principles to produce high-quality, maintainable software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Openness to using AI coding agents as part of the development workflow, with hands-on experience applying them to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
