Overview of role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of cross-functional, enterprise-wide initiatives that support our strategic priorities and growth.
In this role, you will manage complex projects across multiple business areas, including process improvements, system implementations, organizational change, and post-merger integrations. You will ensure structured execution, strong stakeholder alignment, and the delivery of sustainable business outcomes.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will also play a key role in establishing, enhancing, and standardizing project management processes, tools, and best practices across the organization, driving continuous improvement and maturity in how projects are delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Project Delivery
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of assigned enterprise projects in line with governance
- Work with project owners to define project scope, objectives, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria
- Ensure delivery of expected benefits within agreed timelines, cost, quality
- Coordinate project activities across multiple business functions
- Act as the single point of accountability for project execution
- Support the central project portfolio governance and participate in iteration of the process
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders during project screening and selection
- Governance, Risk & Reporting
- Facilitate alignment between process owners, subject matter experts, and leadership
- Establish and maintain project governance, including project documentation, plans, RAID logs, and decision registers
- Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies
- Prepare clear and concise reporting for steering committees and senior management
- Ensure contractual milestones and deliverables are met when third parties are involved
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, including implementation partners and vendors where applicable
- Change & Adoption
- Work with business owners to ensure readiness for change and successful adoption
- Support communication, training, and transition activities in collaboration with relevant functions
- Ensure clear handover to business ownership at project completion
- Collaborate with the team on the project management toolbox, adjusting and standardizing the PM approach to fit the needs of Alvotech
- Share lessons learned to strengthen enterprise project delivery capability
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in project management, business management, engineering, IT, life sciences, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in project management roles delivering complex initiatives
- Exception leadership skills, communication skills and the ability to motivate teams
- Strong business acumen and ability to maintain alignment with business strategy
- Proven ability to manage projects in a matrixed, cross‑functional environment
- Solid understanding of structured project management methodologies
- Preferred Experience in enterprise transformation, business changes, or system implementations Experience in regulated industries (pharmaceuticals, biotech, manufacturing) Experience supporting or delivering post‑acquisition integration initiatives
- Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is an advantage
