Maintenance Worker – Full-Time / Minimum 6 Months

Hótel Dyrhólaey is a year-round hotel located in the countryside of South Iceland, just 10 minutes from Vík.

We are looking for one or two experienced maintenance workers to support the general upkeep of the hotel and assist with upcoming construction and building projects.

This is a full-time position for a minimum of six months.

Main Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work throughout the hotel and staff facilities.

• Assist with upcoming construction, renovation, and improvement projects.

• Identify maintenance needs and help ensure that facilities remain safe and in good condition.

• Work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate with other team members when required.

• Handle tools, equipment, and materials responsibly.

About You

• You have at least one year of relevant experience in construction, building work, maintenance, or a similar practical role.

• You have practical knowledge of general building and repair work.

• You are reliable, proactive, and able to manage assigned tasks responsibly.

• You can work both independently and as part of a team.

• You can communicate effectively in English.

Please note: This position is open only to candidates with at least one year of relevant experience in construction, building work, maintenance, or a similar field. Applications that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Employment Details

• Full-time position.

• Minimum commitment of six months.

• Preferred start date: as soon as possible, ideally during October or at the beginning of November 2026.

• Candidates available to start in January 2027 may also be considered.
