HR Business Partner - Temporary Position

At JBT Marel, we are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who will act as a sparring partner for the business and one of the driving forces within our HR team.

As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for a broad range of HR topics related to people, leadership, and organization. You will work closely with managers and team leaders as a coach, advisor, and sparring partner.

This is a temporary position offering a contract for approx. 12 months, and will preferably start in July/August 2026.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with relevant division and the HR team to drive and implement HR strategies that align with business goals

  • Understand our business, be proactive, and support managers and the HR team in creating a great place to work

  • Support and advise on complex employee relations matters

  • Lead and contribute to Local and Global HR initiatives, such as process improvements, policy updates, employee engagement, performance management, compensation processes, talent development, and employee surveys

  • Provide strategic guidelines and coaching to division leaders and managers to retain, develop, and motivate people

  • Support cultural initiatives by assessing organizational health and recommending improvement actions

  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment legislation

  • Support through integrations, restructurings, or other changes with a focus on people's impact

  • Partner with Local HR and Talent Acquisition team on recruitment, internal mobility, onboarding, and offboarding tasks and processes, and other HR projects

Who are you?

In order to be successful in this exciting position, you need to recognize yourself in the following profile. Ideally, you bring:

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related discipline

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a broad HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role, preferably in an international or industrial environment

  • Strong hands-on experience managing end-to-end HR operations in a commercial or fast-paced business environment

  • Strong stakeholder management and analytical thinking

  • Excellent organizational, communication and networking skills

  • Excellent skills in written and verbal English, as well as Icelandic

  • Experience with HR systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), experience with Workday is a plus

  • The ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • The quality of a team player

  • Pro-activity and structure

  • Detail focus and accuracy
