Senior Business Controller

JBT Marel is looking for a driven and analytical Senior Business Controller to join our team in Gardabaer, Iceland.

In this key role, you will act as a finance business partner to the local organisation, working closely with operational teams and leadership to ensure strong financial performance, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis. You will play a vital role in supporting strategic decision-making.

What you’ll be doing

• Act as a trusted finance business partner to local leadership and operational teams.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.

• Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.

• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive data-driven business decisions.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

About You

You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with the business to drive performance. You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international environment and can translate financial data into meaningful insights.

You are proactive, structured, and confident working both independently and collaboratively across teams.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

• Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Experience in a manufacturing or multinational environment is an advantage.

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, LN) is beneficial.

• Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.

• Experience working in multicultural and cross-functional environments is preferred.
