Founded in 2007, Nordic Car Rental in Iceland is a family-owned and operated car rental company established on the lasting principles of honesty, integrity, and loyalty. Our mission is to rent out quality cars at fair prices while satisfying every customer. As well as creating lasting relationships and repeat customers. All of our vehicles go through a thorough examination before being rented out, and are systematically maintained. By doing so, we prevent unnecessary breakdowns and ensure our customer's safety. We want our customers to experience a level of service that will spread the word that we are good people to engage with. As well as being known to provide quality cars. We will rapidly resolve problems if they occur and also help our customers to take full advantage of our vehicles during their stay in Iceland.

Bifvélavirki/Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled and motivated mechanic to join our team in Asbru Iceland. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing and repairing various vehicle models using modern computer diagnostic tools and traditional mechanical expertise. We seek a professional who can work independently, maintain a positive attitude, and contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our fleet. Punctuality, organization, and the ability to adapt to digital maintenance processes are essential qualities for this role.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in a wide range of vehicle models.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and ensure fleet reliability.
Utilize computerized diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and vehicle inspections.
Maintain accurate digital service logs and parts inventory/order lists.
Work independently on repairs while ensuring safety and quality standards.
Communicate effectively with the workshop supervisor regarding vehicle status, vehicle priorities, and required repairs.

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

Perform emergency roadside repairs if needed is a plus.
Support seasonal fleet preparation, including tire changes and vehicle inspections.
Contribute ideas to improve maintenance efficiency and workflow.
Experience working as a car mechanic.
Good English skills and/or Icelandic.
Computer skills.
A driver's license with more tests is an advantage.
Able to work under pressure to complete assignments.
Independent and organized work style.
Good communication skills.
Non-smoker preferably.
