  • Leiða og taka þátt í umhverfis-, heilsu- og öryggismála herferðum.

Hæfni og færni:

  • Menntun á háskólastigi í vísinda- eða verkfræðigreinum.
  • Reynsla af umhverfis-, heilsu- og öryggismálum er æskileg.
  • Þekking á staðbundnum EHS lögum og stöðlum er æskileg.
  • Góð hæfni til tjáningar í töluðu máli og rituðu.

Alvotech in Reykjavík, Iceland, is seeking an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist.

The EHS Specialist will develop, implement, and drive programs to enable our state-of-the-art laboratories and pharmaceutical production facilities to meet regulatory and corporate requirements. They will also support strong culture that engages employees in the achievement of the company’s goal of a “Zero Harm” culture.

Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Support EHS initiatives and objectives in designed to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
  • Implement preventative and proactive improvements to mitigate or eliminate risks through root cause identification, corrective actions, etc.
  • Lead and support development of risk assessments.
  • Advice on best practices, local regulations and company standards, while maintaining compliance.
  • Analyze data regarding near misses, injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments and improvement actions.
  • Motivate and drive change toward improved safety maturity and zero harm culture.
  • Provide guidance and support for management of change within the company (procedure, processes and projects).
  • Addressing challenges in cooperation with relevant teams at all levels of company.
  • Support as liaison with relevant external agencies during compliance audits and inspections.
  • Lead and participate in EHS campaigns, initiatives and projects.
  • Develop and manage training and company-wide communications to address near misses, incidents, and to promote employee engagement.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Educated to a degree level, preferably in scientific or engineering discipline.
  • EHS work experience within a regulated industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of local EHS legislation and standards preferred.
  • Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-directed and demonstrated efficient work methods, problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
