Quality Specialist

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join our Quality team at Controlant! If you're excited about contributing to meaningful work and making an impact, we’d love to hear from you.

The Quality Specialist works in the Quality team within Quality, and as such participates in operating, maintaining and improving quality and information security processes in Controlant’s management system.

Quality is primarily responsible for the daily operation of the management system and the Quality Specialist will participate in the team’s responsibilities.

  • Participate in the daily operation of the Controlant management system, covering quality and information security.
  • Analyze existing quality processes and identify opportunities for AI-driven and automation improvements.
  • Raise, follow up on, support and approve investigation of nonconformities (deviations / complaints / audit observations).
  • Compile and approve reports on nonconformities and the corrective and preventive actions taken (Investigation reports).
  • Compile quality documentation such as quality reports, statistical reviews, and audit plans.
  • Monitor management system performance with the aid of statistics, plans and reports.
  • Perform, document, and follow up on risk assessments.
  • Approve validation test results and review validation documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects and improvement projects.
  • Provide quality support to internal departments as needed.
  • Write and maintain management system documents and records, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WINs).
  • Stay current with AI trends and tools applicable to quality and operational excellence.
  • Support the VP of quality with other tasks.
Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur
  • University degree in a field relevant to the job, e.g., life sciences, engineering or similar.
  • Outstanding reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as being an active contributor to the team.
  • Conscientious, detail-oriented, and with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in an organized fashion while keeping many tasks and projects going.
  • Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Experience in working with quality systems such as ISO 9001 and GMP, and information security systems such as ISO 27001, is preferred.
  • Experience with AI tools and frameworks.
