As a Marketing Specialist at Hefring Marine, you will work closely with the commercial, product and leadership teams to strengthen the company’s market presence and support continued growth. The role is central to how Hefring communicates its value to customers, partners and the wider maritime ecosystem.

You will be responsible for executing and developing marketing activities across multiple channels, translating complex technical topics into clear and credible messaging, and supporting go-to-market efforts in both civilian and defence-related markets. The role requires independence, structure, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 • Independently plan and execute marketing activities across digital channels, events and partner initiatives.
 • Develop and maintain high quality marketing content (socials, blogs, customer stories, videos, product explainers, etc.)
 • Support product marketing activities, including feature launches, messaging updates and customer-facing documentation.
 • Manage and grow Hefring Marine’s social media presence and ensure consistent brand tone and messaging.
 • Coordinate marketing support for sales activities, including campaign material, customer presentations and tender-related content.
 • Maintain and update the company website and landing pages, including SEO and content optimisation.
 • Track and analyse performance of marketing activities and campaigns, and propose improvements based on data and feedback.
 • Support marketing activities with partners, distributors and OEMs, including co-branded material and joint announcements.
 • Assist in planning and coordinating the company’s participation in industry events, exhibitions and demonstrations.
 • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between product development, sales priorities and marketing output.

Educational and skill requirements

 • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
 • 3–5+ years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in B2B technology, industrial, maritime, SaaS or defence-related sectors.
 • Strong copywriting and content creation skills, with the ability to explain technical subjects clearly and accurately.
 • Comfortable working independently, managing multiple tasks and prioritising in a dynamic environment.
 • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience using digital tools and performance metrics to guide decisions. (social media managers, email platforms, google analystics, etc.)
 • Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, content creation and basic web publishing tools. (Canva, Figma, Adobe, etc.)
 • Need to have: Native/Fluent in English.
 • Nice to have: Icelandic or additional languages.
 • Nice to have: Experience working in a scale-up, startup and international environment.
