In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues from Financial Control, Business Control, and our Shared Services department in Poland. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely and accurate reporting of our legal entities, both to Corporate and in compliance with local requirements. You’ll also play a key role in improving processes and driving organizational enhancements.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Financial Controller, you’ll:

• Perform month-end close activities in line with IFRS and Marel accounting guidelines to secure a timely and accurate close.
• Handle tax reporting and prepare financial statements.
• Prepare and adjust finance journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries.
• Reconcile the monthly general ledger to ensure all entries are accurate and transactions are reported according to accounting standards and regulations.
• Conduct account analysis to ensure entries and balances are correct.

Skills and Abilities

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business economics, or a related field.
• Experience in a similar position with knowledge of business processes.
• ERP knowledge and the ability to turn data into actionable management information.
• Expertise in IFRS, local financial and tax regulations, accounting standards, compliance, and governance.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
