Hotel Lóa, a premium 66‑room hotel located in the beautiful south of Iceland, is seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping team and ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction.
As Head of Housekeeping, you will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, maintain high quality standards, and coordinate closely with other departments. You will also be responsible for staffing, training, and developing a strong, reliable team.

Full responsibility for room cleanliness, readiness, and presentation

Leading, supervising, and motivating the housekeeping team

Hiring, onboarding, and training new housekeeping staff

Organizing daily work schedules and allocating rooms among staff

Managing laundry operations, stock levels, and housekeeping supplies

Planning and executing monthly cleaning schedules, including:

Deep‑cleaning plans

Preventive maintenance cleaning
-
Seasonal cleaning tasks
-
Monthly room inspections and quality checks

Ensuring smooth cooperation with reception, maintenance, and management

Maintaining high hygiene, safety, and quality standards

Proven experience as Head of Housekeeping or similar leadership role

Strong management and organizational skills

Fluent English

Excellent communication skills

Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality

Flexibility to work occasionally on weekends

Hands‑on attitude and willingness to support the team when needed
