The Viking is hiring

We are currently looking for one full-time and one part-time employee to join our team at The Viking for the upcoming season:

• The full-time position mainly involves working day shifts from 10:00 to 18:00, assisting customers and taking part in the day-to-day operations of the stores.
• The part-time position is set every weekends from 10:00 to 18:00.

We are looking for someone reliable, responsible and comfortable working independently, while also enjoying being part of an international team. As The Viking welcomes customers from all over the world, good communication and customer service skills are particularly important.

Previous experience in retail, sales or customer service is and advantage, but not a requirement.

Applicants should:

• Have a good command of English; Additional languages are a definite plus;
• Be comfortable assisting customers and working in a busy retail environment;
• Be reliable, punctual and able to take responsibility for the daily tasks involved in working in a store;
• Be comfortable handling cash transactions;
• Have a valid Kennitala and the legal right to work in Iceland.
