Technical Product Owner

JBT Marel is looking for a Technical Product Owner to join a strong team of developers making Weighing, Grading, Streamline, and Inspection solutions. The team is part of the Secondary Fresh buisness unit and is responsible for platform work, maintenance and development of new features for equipment used in the food industry.

The role combines mechanical engineering, platform architecture, and process design, while also facilitating lifecycle development activities within the Secondary Fresh organization. The Technical Product Owner ensures that innovation efforts are carried out efficiently and effectively within the established innovation framework.

The Secondary Fresh business unit delivers equipment and solutions for the poultry, meat, and fish processing industries. JBT Marel’s innovation teams are responsible for developing and delivering industry‑leading products across these segments.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for the product lifecycle of cross-industry products after the Free-for-sales milestone, in close co-operation with Product management, Global Innovation, Service and supply chain.

• Responsible for maintaining the standards, processes and facilitating updates and improvements in close co-operation with internal customers and international technical teams.

• With Service responsible for evaluating and prioritizing requests for design updates, specials & design maintenance.

• Paying particular attention to standardization & modularization, internal usability of the platform cost prices & scalability

• To make sure that the work is carried out in accordance with company guidelines and relevant international standards.

• Part of the role is to delegate tasks to engineering partners within the Secondary Fresh teams.

• Participate and facilitate “special” meetings for incoming orders.

• Provide input into maintenance & sustainment roadmap for the Secondary Fresh portfolio via Product Owner teams.

• Ability to evaluate compliance and technical performance critically

• Experience managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Strong communication skills, including technical documentation and stakeholder interaction

• A collaborative mindset and ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams

• Problem-solving skills with a focus on regulatory and compliance topics

• Technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems

• Excellent planning and organizing skills.

• A degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Experience from manufacturing, service, or technical environments is an advantage

• Good English and technical communication skills
