Support Engineer – Airline Services
Icelandair is searching for a Support Engineer – Airline Services. The position belongs to Airline Services department which is a part of Technical Operations and located in Hafnarfjörður.
The department manages the technical services that Icelandair provides to its customer airlines Air Niugini.
Responsibilities:
- Be a liaison between Icelandair and the customer airlines for technical support related to CAMO services being provided
- Remain informed about the customer airlines’ day to day maintenance activities, fleet campaigns, major maintenance program changes and other maintenance related activities
- Supervise and create airworthiness documentation based on changes from manufacturers
- Schedule and supervise planned maintenance work
- Project management and cost control
- Area of responsibility: All ATA
Requirements:
- A degree in engineering or B1/2 aircraft mechanic with experience
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance is a plus
- Very good computer skills
- Good communication skills and being able to take initiative
- Independent and disciplined work habits
- Customer oriented
- Good English is a must
