Take the lead in a global context
We are looking for a PM and MD to join our Infrastructure Business Development team. Building on major projects such as the Borgarlína transit project and other infrastructure projects for Vegagerðin and municipalities, you will play a key role in strengthening our position in Iceland.
You will work closely with colleagues across COWI – in Iceland, the Nordics, and internationally – contributing your expertise within mass transit, tunnels, roads and other infrastructure. Your primary focus will be the Icelandic market.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strong, forward-looking pipeline of opportunities
- Build trusted, long-term client relationships and identify new business potential
- Lead capture planning and proposal efforts for major infrastructure projects
- Manage infrastructure project as a Project Manager
- Collaborate closely with project teams and market leaders across regions
- Drive growth in line with COWI’s strategy and values
- Support revenue targets through solid pipeline development
- Contribute to attracting and developing talented colleagues
Who you are
You are a trusted and inclusive leader who creates clarity and direction while empowering others to take ownership. You value collaboration, openness, and continuous learning, and you are motivated by developing both people and business.
You bring:
- Extensive experience (5+ years) within infrastructure
- A relevant BSc or MSc degree (e.g. civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering)
- Strong experience in business development and project delivery
- A proven ability to build relationships and secure major projects
- Experience leading complex, multidisciplinary pursuits
- A structured approach to pipeline management and growth
