We are now looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to join our brand-new team at Radisson RED Hotel Reykjavik.

As Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll bring energy, creativity and structure to our Sky bar, Meeting and Events operations and All-Day dining restaurant and bar, shaping vibrant guest journeys from breakfast through curated evening wine experiences with unbeatable views.

Bold, entrepreneurial and guest-obsessed, you’ll lead the Food & Beverage and Kitchen team to deliver standout service while fostering a culture where performance, growth and collaboration thrive. Acting as a true RED ambassador, you’ll ensure every interaction reflects our brand spirit and leaves guests wanting more.

Main tasks and responsibilities

At Radisson RED Hotel, Reykjavik, Food & Beverage plays a central role in the hotel’s identity and guest experience. As Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the Food & Beverage operation, with a primary focus on the Sky Bar and Meetings & Events and an overall responsibility for the successful running of the All-Day dining restaurant in collaboration with Front of House Manager.   

You are a hands-on, people-focused leader with a strong commercial mindset, comfortable balancing creativity with structure, and experience with performance-driven operations. Working in close partnership with the Front of House Manager and Front of House team, you’ll ensure seamless guest journeys across all public-facing areas of the hotel. You will: 

  • Lead the smooth operation of all Food & Beverage service areas, with a strong focus on Meetings & Events and the Sky Bar, ensuring exceptional guest experiences at every touchpoint 
  • Work in close collaboration with the Front of House Manager to align service delivery, guest flow and peak-time operations across the hotel 
  • Proactively drive guest satisfaction through a responsive, solution-focused approach to feedback and service recovery 
  • Develop, implement and monitor key Food & Beverage strategies and KPIs, using insights to drive continuous improvement and commercial performance 
  • Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, teamwork and brand engagement 
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, controlling costs, inventory and productivity to achieve agreed financial targets 
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to support operational excellence 
  • Deliver initiatives that enhance service standards, profitability, sustainability and community engagement 
  • Ensure full compliance with legislation, audits and company procedures, maintaining best practice at all times 
Educational and skill requirements
  • Proven experience in a Food & Beverage leadership role, ideally within a hotel environment 

  • Experience managing bar operations and M&E service is essential; rooftop or destination bar experience is an advantage 

  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach 

  • Commercially minded with analytical acumen 

  • A genuine passion for guest experience and hospitality 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments and cultures 

  • Personal integrity and the ability to thrive in an environment that demands energy, creativity and excellence 

  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel 

  • An open, positive and communicative personality 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operational demands simultaneously 

  • Fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of Icelandic is an advantage
