Event assistant/ food truck helper

Vlaha Chimney Cakes is looking for occasional help during bigger events, mostly on weekends.

This is not a regular full-time or fixed part-time position. It is mainly for busy event days when we need extra hands in the food trailer.

The job includes helping with preparing and serving fresh chimney cakes, taking orders, keeping the work area clean, and supporting the team during busy service.

No special experience is required, but experience in food service, cafés, bakeries, food trucks, or customer service is a plus. The most important thing is that you are reliable, friendly, clean, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Preparing chimney cakes and toppings
Serving customers and taking orders
Keeping the work area clean and organized
Helping with simple food preparation
Supporting opening and closing during events
Following hygiene and food safety rules

Requirements
Reliable and punctual
Friendly with customers
Able to work in a small food trailer environment
Comfortable during busy event service
Basic English required
Icelandic is a plus, but not required
Previous food service experience is a plus

Working hours
Occasional/event-based work
Mostly weekends
Mainly during festivals, markets, and bigger events
Hours may vary depending on the event
