The generic tasks and responsibilities highlighted in the following section must be mastered by all Service Assistants. This is because employees will be asked to demonstrate flexibility. Thus for each function, a job description will be provided emphasising the main duties related to it.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Welcomes and greets members while checking membership cards. Assists members in disposing merchandises into trolley and offers to load into car. Signs-ups, renews and delivers membership cards. Informs members about membership, warehouse and credit program. Assists member’s queries and directs member to products’ location. Packs goods into boxes and places items in members’ trolleys. Performs setup and closing duties for Service Assistant’s operating departments such as returning products, collecting paper working, stocking and cleaning areas. Organises and arranges all sorts of merchandises in the warehouse. Moves and positions pallets of merchandises in the warehouse as indicated by supervisors or managers. Clean, cleans and clears aisles while following merchandising standards and practices. Assists Clerks in Service Assistant’s operating departments. Sells merchandises and assists members in the major appliance. Removes products from containers. Cut, garnishes, weights, wraps, labels merchandises to be supplied on shop floor. Prepares, packages and labels meals. Moves products by pushing on large, wheeled, metal racks. Inspects quantity supplied on shop floor and restocks as needed.

Person fully flexible with the working time.
