About the position

Join us at atNorth as a DevOps Engineer, where you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable infrastructure solutions. Your role will involve managing CI/CD pipelines, administering hypervisors, and deploying automation across diverse systems while ensuring security and performance are at the forefront.

In this role, you will work on creating, managing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, integrating security measures to ensure secure software delivery. You will administer hypervisors and virtual machine infrastructures, including VMware, ProxMox, and Hyper-V, and configure system backups and failover solutions. Deploying and managing automation across diverse systems will also be a core part of your work, along with setting up and maintaining system and application monitoring solutions.

Additionally, you will monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security. Addressing regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans will be essential to maintain a secure environment. When incidents arise, you will respond swiftly and implement corrective actions as necessary. Documenting systems and procedures will round out your responsibilities, ensuring clarity and facilitating knowledge sharing across the organization.

You are a skilled and passionate DevOps Engineer with a proven ability to integrate security into infrastructure, enhancing reliability and performance. You thrive in a dynamic environment and have extensive experience with containerization, orchestration, and automation. Your expertise in administering hypervisors and scripting on Linux platforms allows you to solve complex challenges effectively. In addition, you are a strong communicator and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performing solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, kubectl, and RKE.
  • Extensive expertise in hypervisor administration, including VMware, ProxMox, and Hyper-V.
  • Proficiency in Linux and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining system and application monitoring tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are advantageous.
