Health and Safety Specialist

The H&S Specialist plays a vital part by championing and working on health and safety matters within Alvotech Iceland and participating globally in H&S topics.

We are looking for a person with a positive attitude who embraces challenges, is flexible and adaptive, and shares our values of team spirit and team efforts.

Helstu verkefni og ábyrgð

Accountable for completing own tasks or assignments.
Performing mostly routine tasks within procedures and processes but occasionally non-routine tasks.
Discussing, making and solving challenges and decisions in cooperation with manager or other employees.
Making adjustments or changes to procedures, processes and (occasionally) projects.
Advanced knowledge within field of expertise such as methods, techniques, and equipment as well as relevant procedural/process knowledge (SME).
Main scope is local or internal and can require immediate or urgent expert attention.
Assistance with management of H&S programs, training, support and facilitation of H&S risk assessments.
Advise employees on Alvotech H&S standards & guidelines.
Advise on H&S expectations in laboratory and manufacturing environments.
Participate and lead internal projects.
Participation in implementation best practices.

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

Educated to a degree level, preferably in scientific or engineering discipline.
Significant experience (3+years) in an H&S role in a regulated industry.
Recognized qualification in H&S, both in theory and management systems is preferred.
Preferred knowledge of local H&S legislation and standards.
Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly proactive, mature judgment and decision-making ability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Self-directed and demonstrated efficient work methods, problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
