UI/UX Designer
AviLabs is hiring an experienced product designer to join the team building out our flagship product, Plan3, the platform airlines use to get passengers back on track when flights are cancelled, delayed, or rerouted. Founded in 2019, we’re a growing team in Reykjavík with deep aviation experience. We’re building this company for the long run, as we would a home to live in, and that shapes how we work and who we hire.
About AviLabs
AviLabs was founded by people who worked inside airline operations and saw first-hand how chaotic it is to care for passengers when flights are disrupted. We built Plan3 to solve this problem, taking what used to eat hours of staff scrambling and resolving it in minutes. The platform streamlines passenger disruption management end-to-end, from rebooking flights to finding hotels, coordinating meals, and sending updates to stranded passengers. Airlines around the world use it every day.

How we work
Design isn’t a service desk that takes tickets and hands back mockups. It’s a real partnership. Our design philosophy: be clear, be kind, be helpful.
We have a flat hierarchy and no-blame culture. We assume the best intentions, treat feedback as a gift, and surface difficulties early. Our dev team works in eight-week cycles: a week for scoping, six to build, one to cool down and tidy up what’s been shipped.
