Software Developer

As a Software Developer, you will be part of the Technology department at Controlant responsible for the development and improvement of software supporting the company’s vision. The Software Developer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software that powers our internal and external applications, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional user experiences. Utilizing a Development Life Cycle (Innovation Process), the Software Developer will work with technical and non-technical associates in defining business and technical requirements to develop new functions or redesign existing functionality.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software while adhering to industry best practices and according to the company's procedures and quality standards.
Implement robust error handling, logging, monitoring, and other observability mechanisms to ensure high availability and performance.
Works within chapter recommendations/guidelines and with the Tech Lead and PM for the team in user requirement analysis and system designs.
Documenting and communicating team’s component specifications, user instructions and manuals, validation documentation and other component related information.
Seeks ways to improve the innovation process in terms of efficiency and quality, and implement changes in collaboration with the Tech Lead.
Will partake in testing of components implemented by other teams.
Can be called upon for assistance in other functions within the company, after proper training - where that is required.

Educational and skill requirements

University degree in Computer science, Engineering or similar - or experience in Software Development.
Programming knowledge in at least one programming language
Self-motivated team player who leads by example
Good written and spoken English
