Alvotech is seeking a talented Analytical R&D Scientist to join the Physicochemical Assays department within our R&D organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrophoretic methods and physicochemical characterization of biologics, with a strong interest in analytical development that supports new product programs.
This role involves hands‑on laboratory work, analytical method development, and preparation of documentation to support regulatory submissions. The position suits a scientist who enjoys balancing independent problem‑solving with close collaboration in a fast‑paced biotechnology environment.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for electrophoretic analysis.

Perform method development, optimization, and write development reports and SOPs.

Conduct sample analysis to support product development throughout the product lifecycle.

Perform routine cleaning, verification, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Qualify and optimize critical reagents, including reference materials.

Identify and implement required updates to quality documentation, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support analytical strategy and regulatory filings.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.

Experience with electrophoretic techniques (e.g., CE, cIEF, SDS‑CE) is highly advantageous.

Previous experience in analytical development within the biopharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Strong documentation skills, including experience writing technical reports and SOPs.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated laboratory environment.

Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.

Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
