Alvotech is seeking an Analytical R&D Scientist to join the Physicochemical Assays department within the R&D organization. This role involves diverse and hands‑on laboratory work, analytical method development, and physicochemical characterization of biologics to support ongoing and upcoming development programs.

The ideal candidate has experience with analytical laboratory techniques, strong documentation skills, and an interest in developing and optimizing methods used throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods, including electrophoretic, chromatographic, and other physicochemical techniques.

• Perform sample analysis to support product development across all stages.

• Write development reports, SOPs, and technical documentation aligned with quality and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare buffers and solutions, and execute routine sample preparation workflows.

• Review and manage laboratory documentation in compliance with internal quality systems.

• Perform routine cleaning, calibration, verification, and maintenance of analytical instruments.

• Identify deviations and propose improvements to methods or documentation.

• Provide technical support and training to colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.

• Experience in laboratory work; biopharma or method development experience is an advantage.

• Familiarity with electrophoresis, chromatography, or physicochemical assays is preferred.

• Strong data handling and documentation skills.

• Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
