The Reykjavik EDITION is looking for its next Room Service Server and Events Server!
Experience is preferred but not necessary. What is necessary however, is a passion for nightlife, food and drink, and most importantly, our guests.
As an entry level position, you will have fantastic opportunities to grow and develop within the team, one which has a history of many internal promotions.
POSITION SUMMARY
Works with the kitchen and F&B team to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction by ensuring a five star approach to F&B delivery. Answer questions on menu selections. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day. As an entry level position and as key member of the hotels service team it is the employees responsibility to use initiative and a proactive approach to ensure we always give our guests unique and fabulous options to make the most of their time and their visit and to make their experience in these F&B areas unique original experience.

- Preparing orders, set trays and delivering items to guest rooms
- Serve food and beverages to guests making recommendations if needed
- Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
- Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage
- Clean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies
- Interacting with all departments in the hotel, from Guest Relations, to Housekeeping, to the Kitchen and more
- Record transactions in the MICROS system correctly and timely
- Empowered to own your guest, wow them and share your energy
- Anticipating our guest's needs and providing exceptional service to enhance their stay
Our most successful Server is someone who:
- Has previous experience in a Food & Beverage role within a busy luxury/lifestyle hotel environment
- Flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation - Room Service is available from 06:30 - 00:30
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
- A passion for delivering exceptional service to our guests
