Mandarin-Speaking Travel Agency Operation Manager-Reykjavik
As our Operation Manager, you will oversee our company’s daily operations, ensuring seamless coordination between teams, business partners & suppliers, and customers.
l Managing tour logistics, itineraries, and partner and supplier relationships.
l Leading a multilingual team of guides, drivers, and customer service staff.
l Optimizing operational workflows to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
l Resolving issues promptly to maintain high service standards.
l Developing strategies to expand our business to attract more Chinese tourists to Iceland.
l Ensuring compliance with Icelandic tourism regulations and safety protocols.
l Fluent in Mandarin (native or near-native proficiency) and English (professional proficiency). Knowledge of Icelandic or Korean is a plus.
l Minimum 3 years of experience in the tourism/hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
l Due to the deep business cooperations with Chinese tourists, travel agencies, and social media operations, proficiency in Chinese language and Chinese market strategies is a must. Therefore, the applicant is required to have rich experience in Chinese tourism industry.
l Regular communication with Chinese sales, customer service, finance teams and business partners is required, and some business negotiations may take place in China.
l Familiar with Chinese social media marketing tools and operations to advocate Iceland and attract more customers.
l Proven track record in operations management, team leadership, and client relationship management.
l The ability to communicate with multiple business partners/suppliers and handle multiple tasks with different teams simultaneously (especially during peak seasons)
l Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
