Húsvörður | Maintenance worker

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance team member to join our team at Exeter House, operating both Exeter Hotel and Kvosin Hotel.
This is a hands-on role for someone practical, solution-oriented, and comfortable handling a wide range of maintenance tasks across two busy boutique hotels.

Exeter Hotel and Kvosin Hotel are well-established, design-focused hotels in the heart of Reykjavík. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality guest experiences, and maintaining our properties to a high standard is a key part of that.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of both hotels, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

• General maintenance across both properties (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
• Troubleshooting and fixing issues quickly and efficiently
• Preventative maintenance and regular inspections
• Coordinating with external contractors when needed
• Supporting hotel operations with urgent repairs
• Keeping maintenance records and ensuring safety standards are met
• Working closely with hotel management and team members

What We’re Looking For:

• A practical, hands-on problem solver
• Experience in property or hotel maintenance (preferred)
• Basic knowledge across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
• Good English communication skills
• A strong team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable, flexible, and service-minded
