Head Waiter/ Food and Beverages Manager

We are looking for a head waiter to run the operation at our newly opened restaurant, Fiskbarinn.

The applicant must possess a great deal of social skills, guest relations skills and the ability to work under pressure. Experience in similar jobs would be considered an asset.

We are searching for an individual who can start as soon as possible.

Prepare and ensure that the restaurant is ready for service.

Oversee and front the service during opening hours.

Purchasing of wine and goods.

Lead a small restaurant team.

Ensuring that our guests’ expectations are met.

About the Restaurant
Situated looking over a marina, Fiskbarinn, is a 30-seater restaurant focusing on the local delicacy, fish. The restaurant serves a 3 to 5-course tasting menu to all its guests, with emphasis on local produce, seasonality, and its proximity to the ocean. Fiskbarinn is currently open Thurs-, Fri- and Saturday evenings.

The restaurant is situated within Hotel Berg a 36-room boutique hotel in Keflavík. The Hotel offers comfortable accommodation to locals seeking a relaxing weekend out of Reykjavík and travelers looking for a comfortable stay right before or after their flight from the nearby KEF airport.
