Field Service Technician (12 month contract)

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Your mission at Climeworks is to maintain Climeworks Direct Air Capture (DAC) machines, also known as Collector Containers (CCs), at the Orca and Mammoth facilities. These machines have been designed and built by Climeworks so you will be truly working on industry leading new technology. This involves focusing on KPI-oriented maintenance to ensure machine availability and reliability which will maximize CO2 removal. 

  • You maintain safe and compliant maintenance activities by fostering a safety culture without compromises. 

  • You maintain Climeworks proprietary DAC machines (CCs) which includes both work in the field and in the workshop.  

  • You support the construction and commissioning of the Mammoth plant.  

  • You execute planned and unplanned maintenance work. This includes mechanical, electrical and/or instrumentation work. 

  • You plan and contribute to the development of maintenance regimes for the CCs. 

 

Educational and skill requirements

Requirements

  • You hold a technical apprenticeship or equivalent in the field of mechanics and/or electrics. 

  • You possess prior relevant work experience in maintenance workshops, production workshops or industrial plants. 

  • You have practical and technical knowledge of electro-mechanical machines e.g. pumps, turbines, compressors, air separation units. 

  • Experience in power plants, gas process facilities, mining, refining, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred. 

  • You plan and perform hands-on mechanical and/or electrical work. 

  • You have business fluency in English, and you are open to travel.
