Data engineer - BI & AI Solutions
As a data engineer at uiData, you’ll oversee product backlogs and translate customer needs into practical BI and AI features. You will drive prototypes, shape integrations with BI platforms and external APIs, and work directly with customers to ensure successful onboarding and value delivery. This hands-on role in a small, funded startup means you’ll move fast, make decisions, and take visible ownership of outcomes, from conception to release. Expect to combine strategic thinking with day-to-day execution and to influence both product direction and customer success.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog based on customer and business impact.
• Lead onboarding and customer success to maximize product value.
• Research, prototype and deliver BI and AI-driven solutions (e.g., AI insights, advanced integrations).
• Provide consulting on BI best practices and solution design.
• Collaborate with the team to align strategy and execution.
• 10+ years in data/BI roles (Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Product Owner or similar).
• Deep expertise in Power BI (Power Query, DAX) and experience integrating APIs/external data.
• Practical familiarity with applying AI models to business problems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.
