Bartender/Bar Assistant for a new downtown bar

Only applicants who are over the age of 21 and have experience working in a bar will be considered, thank you.

We have a new bar opening in July for the summer, and will hopefully be renovated thereafter and re-open as a coffeeshop/bar hybrid in the late autumn/early winter. We’re focusing on “soft launching” it now since it is in an ideal location downtown for the summer season.

The intended opening hours are Wednesday-Saturday 16:00-22:30, therefore the intended working hours for the Bartender Shift Leader is 14:00/15:00-23:30 Wednesday-Saturday. You will have a Bar Assistant working with you on Friday’s & Saturday’s, and a ‘bar-back’ on Wednesday’s & Thursday’s when it’s quieter.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a bar and is confident with general bar tasks; such as opening the beer drafts, pouring beers, connecting kegs, doing simple cocktails, explaining the drinks to customers, maintaining good organisation in the bar during busy shifts, and closing down the bar with all the various cleaning required.
