Airport Associates, an independent ground handling service company at Keflavík Airport, seeks individuals for diverse summer positions with the potential for permanent employment afterward. All roles are shift-based, set in a lively and fast-paced environment.

All new employees must undergo some training.

Requirements:

• Applicant has reached the age of 18.
• Clean criminal record.
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
• Punctuality and disciplined work practices.
• Flexibility.
• Good English proficiency.
• A valid driver’s license is required for all positions.

Passenger service and baggage service

Full-time and part-time positions are available for general passenger handling duties, including check-in, boarding, and service desk operations. Assisting passengers with damaged and/or lost luggage. Candidates must have prior customer service experience, excellent English communication skills, and a strong service-oriented mindset. Flexibility and good computer skills are essential for this role.

Ramp handling

The Ramp Handling Agent's primary responsibilities include loading and off-loading luggage and cargo to and from the aircraft, driving and operating machinery on the ramp. Applicants must hold a valid driver's license and have strong communication skills in English.

Aircraft cleaning & security

The department provides services such as aircraft cleaning, deep cleaning, and conducting security searches on airplanes. Additional responsibilities include cleaning company facilities. Agents must have valid driver’s licenses, be capable of driving at the airport, and possess good communication skills in English.

Baggage Hall

Responsibilities include receiving and sorting luggage for passenger aircraft arrivals and departures. Ensuring proper placement of luggage for loading onto aircraft. Our agents must be able to adopt precise working methods and possess good communication skills in English.

Cargo warehouse

Cargo Agents handle tasks such as cargo screening, buildup and breakdown, reception and air freight delivery within the warehouse. Good computer skills and a valid driver’s license are required. Experience with forklifts and a machine operation license are considered an advantage.

Canteen

Canteen employees assist with general kitchen work, including salad bar preparation, cooking assistance, dishwashing, and other related duties. Experience in similar roles is desirable.

Maintenance

General maintenance and repair of flight handling equipment and car repairs. A driver's license is required. Experience in similar roles and a machine license is preferred.
