Property Maintenance Worker

Bjargfastur ehf. is seeking a reliable and skilled Property Maintenance Worker to join our team. The role involves maintenance and upkeep of several buildings located at Reykjavík Airport, as well as a residential property in Kópavogur.

This is primarily a hands-on maintenance role, but also includes general oversight of the properties. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep, helping ensure that buildings are well-managed, issues are identified early, and tenants have a clear point of contact when needed.

• General maintenance and repair tasks across multiple properties
• Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and upkeep work
• Routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Monitoring the condition of properties and addressing issues proactively
• Acting as a point of contact for tenants regarding maintenance matters
• Coordinating and communicating maintenance needs
• Ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality of facilities

Requirements

• Proven handyman skills and practical experience
• Good communication skills
• Fluency in English (required)
• Icelandic language skills are a strong advantage
• Valid driving license (required)
• Must be eligible to work in Iceland
